About Me

With over 15 years of English teaching experience and a recently earned Master of Education in TESOL, I have built a reputation for creating an inclusive classroom environment that encourages student engagement. I believe the best way to achieve this is to use technology -- digital tools, including Zoom, Canva, Google Docs, and Microsoft Office applications, to augment the learning experience. With a track record of leading and collaborating on educational technology workshops, coupled with my current exploration of AI resources like ChatGPT-4, I strive to stay at the forefront of innovative methods to facilitate learning. I aim to work with a local school or private educational company cultivating growth-oriented, supportive learning. I'm excited to leverage my unique combination of expertise, experience, and dedication to learning to enhance users' success.

on My Journey to Obtain the
Instructional Design and Technology Masters Degree

California State University
While grasping the various concepts of Behavioralism, Cognitivism, and constructivism, a deeper understanding of the design process for instructional projects dawned on me. I was able to learn how technology can be utilized to support authentic, measureable collaborative learning. For example, by using interactive simulations and gamification, designs improve the student's mental processes.
Through the use of technology, it is possible to implement a system that serves the educational goals of the class, done through the planning and implementation with empathy for how a student needs the material and how the student will benefit from the material. As a global classroom,these brilliant theories facilitate interaction with students from vastly different and various backgrounds.
I intend to enhance my pupils' understanding of critical thinking through the use of technology. I am now more aware of the significance of developing new digital skills to keep up with changes within the field.
Through the course, I was able expand my knowledge and skills in the classroom. It also provided me with the opportunity to improve my teaching methods and provide my students with more engaging experiences. As a 66 year old teacher, I am always looking for ways to enhance and adapt to the newest technology in the field.
